Dr. Assoumou is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine. She trained at the combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Brown University and completed infectious diseases fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Her current research focuses on improving outcomes in individuals infected with hepatitis C (HCV) and/or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) using comparative and cost-effectiveness analyses. Given her combined training in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics she is specifically interested in young adults at high risk for HCV and HIV.
