Kara Galer is a Senior Program Manager in the Department of Global Health and Populations. She has experience in epidemiology, international health and healthcare analytics. She joined HSPH after working as a Healthcare Analyst at Tufts Health Plan and for several years at Boston Medical Center. Previous work includes research design and implementation in Kenya to measure the efficacy of the Kenya Community Health Strategy program. Kara has also worked with Harvard Medical School’s Department of Global Health and Social Medicine on the Global Health and Delivery Partnership and as part of the Boston University Pardee Center Task Force, where she co-authored the report Remittance Flows to Post-Conflict States. Prior to this, she taught English on the island of Kosrae, in the Federated States of Micronesia, through the program WorldTeach. She earned an MPH in International Health and Epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College.
