Dawn Fukuda is the Director of the Office of HIV/AIDS in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s, Bureau of Infectious Disease. She has served as the Commonwealth’s State HIV/AIDS Director since 2010, and has worked within the Office of HIV/AIDS for the past ten years. Prior to joining the health department, she worked in a range of community-based healthcare and social service venues as a medical case manager, housing advocate, researcher, and HIV treatment educator. She had served as both Vice Chair and Chair of the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD), and is an appointed member of the CDC and HRSA Advisory Committee for HIV, STDs, and Viral Hepatitis (CHAC), where she currently serves as the Committee’s Co-Chair. Dawn received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Master of Science in Public Health from the Harvard University, Chan School of Public Health.
